ABOUT

Applause Concerts was founded by in 2017 with a mission to present a wide array of professional arts performances for Melrose and the surrounding communities. It was launched as a pilot project in June of that year with a performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance, performed by Greater Worcester Opera. This pilot project was made possible with a seed money grant from the Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts. The show was a great success, and the idea of Applause Concerts was greeted with great enthusiasm. Applause Concerts continued producing events until the pandemic.

With the start of 2024, Applause Concerts is back! We will producing shows in 4 different communities around the Greater Boston area this spring. We hope you'll join us!

 

Applause Concerts was founded by producer and performer  Mark Morgan. Morgan, who was the founding Artistic Director of New England Light Opera, has produced hundreds of concerts across eastern Massachusetts for the past 20 years. A professional singer and conductor, he looks forward to sharing music from many groups in many genre with the residents of towns surrounding Boston.
